Archeological Museum of Chania
The Archeological Museum of Chania is located in the Venetian monastery of St. Francis. Was placed there in 1963. During the occupation of Crete by the Turks, this building housed a mosque and stored weapons. Today we can admire the exhibits in the form of dishes, ornaments, coins, and other things found in the western part of the island in the caves and caverns. The museum also has valuable sculptures and mosaics.
